MD Health Medical Research Inc. and York Central Hospital are pleased to announce an agreement to promote and support research services at the hospital. The intention of this agreement is to provide an infrastructure for interested clinicians at York Central Hospital in all phases of clinical research including proposals, development, review, management, publication and/or presentation of research studies. York Central Hospital serves the population in southern York Region, a rapidly growing area in south-central Ontario which has recently surpassed 1 million inhabitants. The hospital provides compassionate, high quality and timely care to over 225,000 patients each year. |

Over the past several years, York Central Hospital has undergone a major redevelopment project which has resulted in many significantly expanded physical facilities including new Labor and Delivery, Dialysis, Mental Health, Diagnostic Imaging, and Emergency areas. In addition, the hospital has embarked on a transformational journey to better position it in the evolving health care delivery system. MD Health Medical Research Inc. and the Odette Cancer Centre (OCC) at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre are pleased to announce an agreement for research services to the Clinical Trials & Epidemiology department. The Odette Cancer Centre is a highly specialized comprehensive cancer program – ranked among a select group of world-class institutions who are research-intensive, provide the full spectrum of patient care and engage in education and community outreach. The intention of this agreement is to support all aspects of clinical research including financial and logistical analysis. |

MD Health Medical Research Inc. and Lakeridge Health (LH) are pleased to announce an agreement for research services to all campuses of the Lakeridge Health hospital network. The intention of this agreement is to support interested clinicians at LH in all phases of clinical research including proposals, development, review, management, publication and/or presentation of research studies. MD Health® will provide research services to all clinical areas at Lakeridge Health in an effort to successfully increase the overall number of clinical trials being conducted across the regional health network.

In 2008, Lakeridge Health established LHEARN (Lakeridge Health Education and Research Network). The goal of LHEARN is to build on the robust education, training and research currently being conducted at the hospital network. In 2006/07, over 27 years of medical student training and 204 years of training to healthcare students like physiotherapists, medical laboratory technologists, occupational and respiratory therapists, nurses and many others was provided at the hospital network. Eighty-eight research studies with universities, colleges, other hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and other private sector partners are currently being undertaken at Lakeridge Health. |
